Last Wednesday, all of the Nursery children were very excited to take part in our Beep Beep! With Timmy Time Road Safety Day in aid of Brake, the Road Safety Charity. All the staff and children were invited to dress in striped clothes and make a £1 donation.
As learning how to be safe around roads and cars is so important, the Early Learners children and Miss Hulme created their own traffic lights, stop signs and speed limit signs to use on the zebra crossing in the afternoon.
After lunch, the Little Learners, Explorers and some Toddlers were very happy to see Prep 3 and Mrs Bennett as they came to help us learn how to hold hands as we crossed the zebra crossing and walk around the school.
We all wore reflective hi-vis jackets so we were seen by everyone and even Mrs Wardle stopped us as she drove past!
Later on Miss Hulme and the Early Learners went outside at home time to hold up their signs to thank all the parents for driving safely as they came to pick up all the children!
Everyone had a certificate and sticker for taking part in the day to show Mummies and Daddies at home time. We also took home a postcard to find out about sitting in our car seats, holding hands close to roads and crossing roads safely.
