Form 2’s Visit to Plague-Era Eyam Makes History Come Alive

Posted: 18th October 2024

Last week, Form 2 went on an exciting trip to the small village of Eyam as part of their ongoing lessons about the plague. The children had the chance to explore the village’s rich history and learn more about how the plague affected Eyam in 1665. A highlight of the trip was visiting the Eyam Museum, where they saw fascinating artefacts and displays about life during that time. The children especially enjoyed dressing up in costumes from 1665, which made history come alive and helped them imagine what it was like to live through such an important period.
