Earlier this week, Early Learners and Reception took part in a fabulous Forest School induction event.
The afternoon was led by our Reception teacher and Early Years specialist, Mrs Bartholomew, and provided an opportunity for children to enjoy a Forest School taster lesson to aid their transition to Reception. Some parents also came along to join in the activities with their child!
Forest school is a type of outdoor education that offers all children regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in the natural environment. At Edenhurst all children from Reception to Form 2 take part in regular Forest School afternoons.
We are now looking forward to planning more exciting events for the summer term to aid children’s transition to Reception.
